Yasmina closes its seed round to scale embedded insurance in Saudi Arabia

Backed by Sanabil Investments, 500 Global and leading global investors, the round funds the build-out of the Kingdom’s first approved embedded insurance platform across every major category.

We started Yasmina with a simple observation: people don't wake up wanting to buy insurance — they wake up wanting a car, a trip, a home, a healthy team. Insurance is a means, and the best moment to offer it is inside the purchase it protects. Today we're announcing our seed round to build exactly that for Saudi Arabia.

What the round funds

The capital goes to three places. First, coverage: taking our embedded platform from motor into medical, property, travel and specialty lines, each with its own licensed insurer panel. Second, the developer surface: one API, sandbox-first, with production approval measured in hours rather than quarters. Third, the partner economics engine — the tooling that turns every policy a platform sells into a clean, auditable revenue-share line.

Why Saudi Arabia, why now

The Kingdom's insurance market is growing at double digits while remaining dramatically under-penetrated at the point of sale. Regulation is moving in favour of licensed, supervised digital distribution — and the Insurance Authority's framework gives platforms a way to offer real, legally-backed cover without becoming insurers themselves.

We believe the next hundred million policies in the region will be sold inside other products, not on insurance websites.

The team behind it

We're insurance operators, engineers and designers who have shipped embedded journeys for some of the Kingdom's largest platforms. The seed round lets us do next what we've done for a few, for everyone.

Thank you to our investors, our partners and — most of all — the platforms that trusted us before there was a press release. We're just getting started.
